What looks like a river in one portion transforms into a Monarch butterfly’s wing in another, and then again, a whole serpent’s eye in the next. The theme continues as Chaos and Order exists in a constant duality. Overall into the collection as a biblical and historical commentary.
The shape of the eye was chosen metaphorically and literally, representing the feminine parts of a woman, while also can be seen as a literal eye of a serpent.
The flakes of glass and iridescent pieces fleeing the black pupil, like other pieces in my collection, almost like a Black Hole. Literally and symbolically unbecoming/unknowing leads to sight and knowledge.
